Tulip Foundation is inviting you to take part in the National campaign on the occasion of 29 April 2012 - the European Day of Solidarity between Generations for a forth year. This year the day is even more important because 2012 is the European Year for Active Aging and Solidarity between Generations.
As every spring, the aim of the campaign is to encourage various joint initiatives bringing together people from all generations and to provoke the interest of the society on the theme of solidarity between people.
During the week around 29 April 2012 Tulip Foundation and numerous civil organisations around Bulgaria will organise various initiatives that are based and promote solidarity between generations.

You can organize different initiatives as for example:

Events where people at different age are meeting and communicating, sharing or discussing different themes on relations between generations;

Joint initiatives involving youth and elderly as competitions, exhibitions, sport events, music and dance performances, cultural or traditional events, etc.;

Meetings and discussions with representatives of local power, local civil organizations and local community to debate different forms of solidarity and cooperation between generations and successful examples of social inclusion;

Other interesting ideas that you have.
Most important is to present the theme of solidarity between generations in understandable, accessible and interesting way as possible no matter of the concrete initiative.
We will spread information about the different initiatives in the whole country in a common press release. We expect that you will send us information about your initiative by filling out the attached form and sending it to info@tulipfoundation.net until 23 April 2012.
You are free to spread the information among your colleagues, friends and partner organizations. Let’s we all become part of the European Day of Solidarity between generations together with millions European citizens.
