Together with the members of AGE Platform Europe we discussed the themes for social inclusion, overcoming the digital gap, long-term and palliative care for older people and their participation and representation at the upcoming elections for a European Parliament in 2024 in a series of meetings, presentations and talks from 14 to 16 March this year in Brussels. During the followed working meeting of the Administrative Council of the network of some 150 organisations from around Europe we discussed the opportunities for adoption of UN Convention on the Rights of Older People.

The role and the contribution of older women to our societies were especially reviewed in the frame of their equal opportunities for social development and support in the digital era. The necessity of targeted efforts for digital inclusion of women over 55 years of age in their daily lives and professional development was underlined.
