Theatre performance Pericles, Prince of Tyre by Shakespeare, Patalenitza village, 25 July 2009

The warm summer evenings in the end of July were especially exiting in Patalenitza village this year. On 24 and 25 July the summer Shakespeare open air theater festival took place on the summer stage in the yard of the local school for a tenth year in a row.
The children and the young people from the local school, the children’s Shakespeare drama school and students from Plovdiv University moved the public by performing the play Pericles, Prince of Tyre by Shakespeare. The play comes as a result of a whole year activities and six weeks of intensive rehearsals with the producer Rex Doyle, who have especially come from the UK to work with the children
The performance was realised in the frame of the project “School – Theater – Life” implemented with the financial support of Tulip Foundation.
