GO Club Association, Targovishte 

Aim: Introduction and strengthening of effective models and practices for support for Roma children and families based on active participation of the local community aimed at reducing the number of abandoned and neglected children in Targovishte municipality. A minimum of 50 families from Targovishte municipality will receive practical support to improve the quality of life of their children. Another 50 families will receive additional knowledge about risky pregnancy and skills for care for children. 
Activities: Roma mediators and social workers will work on 1) Early identification of “risky pregnancy” and risk of abandonment of the new-born babies; realisation of direct and continuous contact with the pregnant woman and her family; accompanying and intermediation with health services; following up the pregnancy and participation in courses for pregnant women; filling in and submitting of different documents, etc. 2) Support to improve the health condition of children, aged 0-3 years and increasing the capacity of their parents and families. 3) Lectures on sexual education. 
Target groups: 40 families, women and girls, living in Malcho Malchev quarter of Targovishte; 60 families from Targovishte villages – Goliamo Novo, Vardun and Liliak; compact Roma communities; members of Roma NGOs; Roma leaders and other active inhabitants – in total 100 persons; Institutions, organisations and local authorities that are directly concerned and have regulated duties in the filed of care for children and problems like abandonment and neglect of children.
