Aim: Prevention of abandonment of children from adoptive families through support and inter-help for coping with questions and difficulties of candidate adoptive parents, adoptive families and adopted children and young people during and after adoption process 

Activities: Creation and support for self help groups of candidate adoptive parents, adoptive families and adopted children and young people in Sofia and Gabrovo; individual consultations for candidate adoptive parents and adoptive families with specialists – medical doctor, lawyer and social worker; update and maintenance of a website based internet forum for sharing of best practices in the field of adoption in a virtual self help group; training of facilitators of self help groups who will be starting more groups around the country; publication of a guide for adoption covering first steps, raising and caring for adopted children that will be widely distributed
