Aim: To introduce and pilot in Stara Zagora municipality a model for empowering people who provide care for children whose parents have abdicated from their parental functions or are absent with aim to guarantee the fundamental rights of the children – raising tem in a family environment, identity and opportunities for development.
Activities: Raising information and awareness among the target groups about the role, the rights and the responsibilities of the father in caring and bringing up children through professional discussions, information meetings among target groups, consultations for families; case work – social and legal consultations, counseling, mediation; father support groups for fathers bringing up their children without a mother, various initiatives “My dad and I” aimed at restoring and strengthening the connection father- child
Target groups: Children at risk of abandonment in Stara Zagora municipality, raised in incomplete families – most of these with absent mother of in difficult financial conditions; local community in Lozenetz and Bratia Kunchevi and Hrishteni villages; social workers from social care services in Stara Zagora
