With other members of Volonteurope we had our annual meeting and general assembly on 26 May in Brussels. As usual we shared recent happenings, initiatives and ideas.
On the following day together with partner organisations we launched the new 4Voices project at European Economic and Social Committee.
The aim is to defend human rights, democracy, and the rule of law by examining Europe’s diverse past with a critical thinking, and by imagining Europe’s futures to rebuild trust. 4Voices focuses particularly on the period after World War II and the post-1989 transitions from authoritarian and totalitarian regimes. These were moments when Europe was forced to confront its failures and rebuild around democratic values. We had interactive workshops on Constructed Narratives and Stories That Challenge.
