Members of COFACE Families Europe took part in an open process of discussing the main economic principles of the organisation with many and various stakeholders for a number of months. The document with 14 economic principles is a combination of existing principles that are structured around the leading principle of the families as an essential economic unit. Considered together these principles offer an opportunity for an economy managed and maintained by reconciling and balancing the roles and responsibilities of the three key players – the families as consumers, citizens and workers, the market /private actors/ and the State, in order to create a better economy for all.

With these COFACE economic principles we want to unlock space for a discussion and new economic thinking, in which the voice of families in Europe is presented. We encourage colleagues and partners to get to know the document and to share it with other organisations.
