
The meeting took place at VIVACOM Hall on Gurko Street with the support of the telecommunication company.
More than 30 participants from 17 organisations from various European countries took part in the meeting. They presented the respective country reports and updates concerning implementation and development of Family Group Conferences during the first day. One group discussed a document, developed the previous year - Purpose, Values and Processes in the afternoon while a second group made a number of concrete proposals relating to FGC European Network future development.
Janina Arsenjeva, Policy Director at Eurochild, made a presentation about the structure and the operation of Eurochild during the second day. It was followed by an interesting discussion on possibilities for cooperation between the EU FGC Network and Eurochild.
Four working groups were set up with a task to work on concrete themes: Training, project support & advice; Government, funding & lobbying; Network communication / development; Evaluation and research.
It was decided by voting that FGC Network annual meeting 2013 will take place in the end of October next year in Serbia.
