The team of Tulip Foundation in partnership with the colleagues from ILI at Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft der Senioren-Organisationen e.V. and German National Association of Senior Citizens’ Organisations (BAGSO) from Germany, Jaume I University from Spain and Silver Thread from Ireland began working on the SenGuide project. It is funded in the frame of Erasmus+ programme of the European commission.
Instead of meeting at the ILI at Friedrich-Alexander University in Furth, Germany, from 14 to 16 December 2020, the partners met in a joint Zoom meeting. Over three days we presented our organisations and previous experience. The core part of the meeting was dedicated to discussions about the planned activities, expected results, time table and task division. We talked also about the coordination of work in a digital space.
We know that older people have tremendous life and professional experience and knowledge and are often ready to share these, to give advice and help to other people. That’s why we are aiming to provide opportunity for older people to share their experience online with this project. For the next 30 months we will be targeting efforts to create an innovative programme, which provides scheme for people over the age of 55 to learn how to develop interactive content. That will be in the form of learning modules which are going to be shared with other older people.
In case you, or your relatives or friends over 55 years of age, are interested to learn how to present a theme in which you are interested or are an expert, please contact us at mgeorgieva@tulipfoundation.net. We will get in touch with you and will invite you to be involved, when the practical training activities start in the second half of the next year.
