To be a Father National campaign

Tulip Foundation is an active member of a group of 10 organisations that run together a national informational campaign „To be a Father”.

A wide dissemination of the clips and the posters with the message of the campaign – starts on 16 February.  

There are many ways to be a good father – starting before the child is born, in everyday care for the child and the home, by encouraging healthy and active living, in playing with the child, in education and learning, in expression of feelings and emotions, in raising with love and patience, in respecting the other parent. 

The aim of the campaign „To be a Father” is to show how important for the full development of children is the active participation of male in lives of children and families. Results from practice of teachers and psychologists  as well as international research show that children with caring fathers have better self-esteem, better motivation for learning and education, they are less stressed, they less often act violently and are less likely to become victims of  violence.  

We want to show more and various possibilities for men to engage actively and positively in lives of children. By now we have organised a number of initiatives in the country including  Father’s Day in June 2014 and Father’s Week in November 2014 г.
