Nominations in Voluntary Initiative Competition 2012

In spring 2012 Tulip Foundation and National Alliance for Voluntary Action announced a competition for the best Voluntary Initiatives 2012 – the European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations.

By the end of October in total 22 different initiatives from around Bulgaria were nominated. Some six initiatives have been realized in Sofia and other four initiatives are on a national level. There are civil organisations, companies, schools, informal groups and individuals among the participants.

A Jury with members Ingrid Shikova, National Ambassador of the EY2012; Ambassador Ivan Stancioff, Chair of the Board of Karin Dom Foundation; Iva Roudnikova, Chief Editor Capital Light and Boyko Stankushev, member of the Board of the Bulgarian National Television will select the best initiatives of 2012 on the ground of preannounced criteria: results, importance for the local community, the number and the involvement of the participants, impact of the initiative for the development of the capacity of the volunteers and the team of the organisation, the financial effectiveness.

The award giving ceremony will take place on 4 December 2012. Representatives of the nominated initiatives will be invited.
