Early intervention program Training at Karin Dom, Varna

From October 25-th to November 13-th Karin Dom team had a training on “Early Intervention Program Development”. It is a part from the project financed by Tulip Foundation under the Program for Support for Children and Families in the Community Aimed at Prevention of Child Institutionalisation. The lectors were Elizabeth Cox and Judith Oldfield, infant development consultants from Province of British Columbia, Canada, with 30 years of experience in that subject.

The main topics of the seminars were: the early intervention and the collaboration with the families; the family orientated approach to the families with children with special needs; the typical and the a-typical behavior of children, aged 0 to 4; and the methods of status evaluation of the children with special needs.

The training was covered by a lot of work examples and it was very helpful. The professionals from Karin Dom upgraded their knowledge about the infant development with the experience of their Canadian colleagues.
