During the two days the participants commented and analyzed the elaborated by their organizations models of support for children and families in the community. The main lecturer was Georgi Genchev, Director of Programme and Analytical Centre for European Law Foundation. The participants worked in groups in order to discuss and develop the concrete models for practical work. 

At the end of the first day the participants had a meeting with Dr. Krasimir Mirev, Mayor of Targovishte, who had received the Golden Apple award - a mayor - friend of the children. Dr. Mirev answered a lot of questions connected to the successful work of Targovishte municipality with local nongovernmental organizations. As a Chairman of the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria he was very interested in the developed by the different organizations models of support for children and families in the community aimed at prevention of institutionalisation of children.

During the second day the participants continued their work on the models and later discussed the forthcoming meeting in Sofia in the autumn and concrete ideas and suggestions to be presented to relevant ministries and agencies.

Nevena Madjarova and Diana Yakimova presented the development of the work of the NGO Club Association in Targovishte and the region in the frame of the Community support to raise children in family environment project. They shared successes and difficulties they faced as well as the necessity to provide sustainability of the activities after the end of the project.
