A round table “Social inclusion and Dignity in old age- Promoting participatory approaches to use reference budgets” took place in Brussels on 6 – 7 June 2014.
It was hosted by OKRA Trefpunt 55plus and brought together civil organisations working with and for older people and financial specialists from various EU member states – Germany, the UK, France, Ireland, Malta, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Belgium etc. Results and findings from two transnational European projects were presented.
The round table ended with a panel discussion “Towards integrated approaches for a decent life in old age” with participants from Ireland, Belgium, Bulgaria and the UK, moderated by Ruth Brand from BAGSO, Germany. Maria Petkova from Tulip Foundation, Bulgaria, drew the conclusions.
