Training on social inclusion for representatives of civil organisations, April 2009

Tulip Foundation organised a training session on the theme of social inclusion in Sofia on 24 April 2009. The meeting was realised in the frame of a project “Promotion of older people’s social inclusion through national and local public debates” and was organised in cooperation with Charitable Association Hospice Miloserdie.

The participating 26 representatives of civil organisations and social institutions got acquainted with the mechanisms of the European Union in the field of social inclusion. Various ideas and initiative aimed at marking 29 April - the European Day of solidarity between Generations were discussed at the end of the meeting.

Tulip Foundation organised a training session in the frame of a project “Promotion of older people’s social inclusion through national and local public debates” on 23 April 2009. The training took place in the Complex for social services for children and families in Plovdiv and was organised in cooperation with the National Alliance for Voluntary Action. The participating 22 representatives of local associations and community clubs from the municipalities of Kardjali, Kazanlak, Sliven, Plovdiv, Haskovo and others got acquainted with the mechanisms of the European Union in the field of social inclusion and discussed upcoming initiative to mark the European Day of solidarity between Generations.

Tulip Foundation organised a training meeting in the frame of a project “Promotion of older people’s social inclusion through national and local public debates” in Ruse on 9 April 2009. The meeting was organised in cooperation with the Third Age foundation and took place in day centre for elderly people realized by the local foundation. More then 35 participants from Ruse, Shoumen, Varna, Dryanovo, Razgrad etc. which work with elderly people, children and youngsters; social and educational institutions, women etc. took part.

Tulip Foundation organised the first of a series of training meetings in the frame of a project “Promotion of older people’s social inclusion through national and local public debates” on 8 April 2009. The training was realised in cooperation with Pleven Public Fund Chitalishte. The participants got acquainted with the mechanisms of the European Union in the field of social inclusion and a methodology for organising meetings with socially excluded people and stimulating their participation in the process of policy making. Some 30 participants represented local associations and Chitalishte from the North West Bulgaria that work with elderly people, children and youngsters; social and educational institutions, women etc.
