The Project of the Year Ceremony will take place on 2 July at 6.30 pm in the hall of the Sofia City Art Gallery, 1 Gurko str. The event brings together representatives of civil society organisations, leading business companies, media and artists. This is an evening where we talk about the professionalism and achievements of civil society organisations working for the people of Bulgaria.
At the beginning of the year we announced the competition for the nineteenth time. We received 16 nominations from across the country. They are presented by civil society organisations and partners, donors and participants, volunteers and citizens.
A jury with members Tsvetanka Mincheva, CEO and Chairman of the Board of UniCredit Bulbank; Snezhina Petrova, actress and head of the Theatre Department of New Bulgarian University; Tsveta Nikolova, journalist at the Hristo Botev programme of the Bulgarian National Radio; Irena Komitova, representative of The Economist Group and Svetlozar Zhelev, Director of the National Book Centre selected the best projects of last year.
Each year the submitted projects are evaluated according to the previously announced criteria - results achieved; sustainability of the activities over time; financial efficiency; participation of the target groups and the local community in planning and implementing the activities; innovation and applicability of the idea in other localities in the country.
The Project of the Year Award is specially designed by prof. The Project of the Year was awarded by Georgi Chapkanov Tchapa.
The competition and the ceremony are organised with the media partnership and cooperation of NGO Portal in Bulgaria and SCAG.
