Project of the Year 2015
22.12.2015
As a tradition Tulip Foundation announces the Project of the Year 2015 competition for the best social projects of civil organisations in the end of the year.

The initiative takes place for an eleventh successive year as a respond to the numerous good projects realised all over Bulgaria.

Each one of these projects has been made possible by the hard work of the people who invested a lot for its success. Therefor it is important for all of us to pay public recognition to all those people and organisations who help others to make their lives easier and Bulgaria a better place to live. We know that donor organisations, funding programmes and raised funds would not make any change without the patient and professional commitment of numerous motivated and responsible people.

Civil organizations that during 2015 have implemented projects aimed at improving the living conditions, opportunities and quality of life of groups of people or communities in disadvantaged position are invited to participate in the competition. Projects implemented in towns, cities and villages are welcome regardless of size of budget, source of funding, scale of operation, type of activity or beneficiaries.

The best projects will be selected by a jury with members  Violina Marinova, Chair of the Board and CEO of DSK Bank; Nikola Dobrev, Chair of the Board of Directors of KCM 2000 Group; HE Anick Van Calster, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium; Sevda Shishmanova, Programme Director of the Bulgarian National Television, Manol Peikov, publisher and Miroslav Borshosh, Executive director of the National Palace of Culture.

The nominated projects will be evaluated on the basis of: achieved results, sustainability of the project activities, financial efficiency, participation of the target groups and the local communities, innovative services and the possibilities for implementing the project in other areas of the country.

Organisations and individuals are welcomed to nominate a project until 12 February 2016 at info@tulipfoundation.net.

A full list of nominated projects will be presented on the Tulip Foundation web site. The awarded projects will announced at a public ceremony in March 2016.

The awards are especially made by the prominent Bulgarian sculptor Georgi Capkunov.
