The idea of this joint project of Gemeinsam leben & lernen in Europa, Germany, Cluj-Napoca Volunteer Centre from Romania and Tulip Foundation is to develop an innovative programme for young volunteers in support for young refugees who decide to stay in their countries. The programme will include educational and training materials, adapted for the needs and interests of young people.
The teams of the three organisations got together in Passau and the German partners presented in details their programme and approach. They shared the materials for recruitment and training of volunteers, the initial informational materials for refugees, the way they work with schools and other organisations. We visited a centre for accommodation of unattended refuge children. And spoke with refugees who are committed to help new coming refugees in Germany.
