
Who can participate? Tulip Foundation and National Alliance for Voluntary Action announce a competition for the best voluntary initiatives in Bulgaria in 2011 – the European Year of Volunteering.
All organisations realising voluntary initiative during 2011 aimed at improving the living conditions and developmental opportunities for people in Bulgaria regardless the place and the period of the initiative, the aim and organisation of the actions, the sources of funding, number and age of the volunteers are invited to take part.
Criteria
The initiatives will be evaluated on the basis of their results, the importance for the local community, the number and the involvement of the participants, the impact of the initiative for the development of the capacity of the volunteers and the team of the organisation, the financial effectiveness.
Jury and Awards
The best initiatives will be selected by a Jury with members Ognyan Zlatev, Member of the Board of the Bulgarian National Television, Ambassador Ivan Stancioff, Chair of the Board of Karin Dom Foundation; Iva Roudnikova, Chief Editor of Capital Light and others.
The best initiatives will be praised with a special diploma and award in the form of investment in the development of the volunteers.
How to apply?
Initiatives can be nominated by organisations and individuals. The nomination application can be sent to Tulip Foundation at info@tulipfoundation.net until 31 October 2011.
A full list of all nominated initiatives will be presented on the Internet sites of Tulip Foundation and NAVA. The awards will be announced at a public ceremony in December 2011.
