Voluntary Initiative Competition 2012

Tulip Foundation and National Alliance for Voluntary Action (NAVA) announce a competition for the best voluntary initiatives in Bulgaria in 2012 – the European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity between generations.

Who can participate? 
All organisations realising voluntary initiative aimed at active ageing and solidarity between generations in Bulgaria during 2012 regardless the place and the period of the initiative, the aim and organisation of the actions, the sources of funding, number and age of the volunteers are invited to take part. 

Criteria 
The initiatives will be evaluated on the basis of their results, importance for local community, number and involvement of participants, impact of the initiative for capacity development of volunteers and organisation team, financial effectiveness. 

Jury and Awards 
The best initiatives will be selected by a Jury with members Iva Roudnikova, Chief Editor Capital Light; Ingrid Shikova, Ambassador of the European Year in Bulgaria; Ambassador Ivan Stancioff, Chair of the Board of Karin Dom Foundation; Boyko Stankushev, Member of the Board of the Bulgarian National Television and others. 

The winners will be praised with a special diploma and award in the form of investment in volunteers’ development. 

How to apply? 
Initiatives can be nominated by organisations and individuals. The nomination application can be downloaded from here (in Bulgarian language only). The deadline for sending nominations to info@tulipfoundation.net is 31 October 2012. 

A full list of all nominated initiatives will be presented on the Internet sites of Tulip Foundation and NAVA. The awards will be announced at a public ceremony in December 2012.
