Meeting of the Social Impact Analysis Group in Bulgaria, 12 December 2014
12.12.2014
Tulip Foundation organised a meeting of the Social Impact Analysis group in Bulgaria which took place on 12 December 2014 with the participation of some 20 representatives of various civil and granting organisations.

A special guest was Ruth Whateley, International Networks Director at Social Impact Analysts Association / Social Value International. She was in Bulgaria for the annual conference of the Bulgarian Donor’s Forum where she spoke about “Measuring social impact - mission possible and necessary”.

Ruth met the Bulgarian colleagues, shared her experience at SIAA with country impact groups and presented a few examples from different countries.

The participants shared their understanding that analysis and communication of social impact is crucially important along with evaluation of concrete projects and programmes.

The Bulgarian social impact analysis group was created in June 2013 as forum for sharing of information and practices which would cooperate with SIAA. The social impact analysis is a process of identification and prognosis of future consequences from actions that we plan or apply in the presence. It is an instrument for practical achievement of goals like social inclusion, effective services, quality education and preserved environment.

The meeting took place with the support of FairPlay International that provided the premises at Arena di Serdica Hotel.
